Ah, what an adventure. I submitted my four entries to Iowa … where FedEx completely messed up the delivery and they were almost returned unjudged.
But now I know the identity of the ONE image of my four that made the cut.
And surprise, surprise … it’s the one that was part of the State Fair’s 2023 theme of “Sunrise, Sunset.”

Thanks to fellow photographer Jerry Ranch for sending me the image results.
This now makes my second-ever Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson Railroad image to grace the walls of an art show, so I’m very happy for that.
This is also my fifth consecutive year of getting at least ONE artwork on the walls of the Iowa State Fair’s photography salon, so … very happy on that, too.
A good start for Competition Season 2023, if you ask me.
